This is a project I developed during my artist's residency with 4Heads on Governors Island in the Fall of 2021. In a dark room, a device on the wall slowly unrolls a piece of glow in the dark fabric on which it exposes and renders a portrait. The image slowly fades as the viewer is looking at the piece. The device retracts the fabrics and starts the process again. It is akin to trying to remember a distant memory. The project is still a work in progress.
