Henry Chung Photography
Biography
Born and raised in New York City, Henry Chung studied engineering at Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science (1987-88) and photography at New York University's Tish School of the Arts (1988-93). In 1992 Henry established his first photography studio in Brooklyn which he has maintained at various locations since. The years during and after his education Henry worked as a programmer and typesetter at US Lithograph (1988-91), production manager at McGraw-Hill (1991-93), and as General Manager at Publishing Data Management (1993-96). As a founding partner of Portfolio Central, an on-line photography and illustration source book, Henry developed web programming for Nick Koudis Studio (Photography, 1996-2001) and in addition began teaching web development at the International Center of Photography (1996-2001). Also, in 1996 Henry founded his own web design and development company, Bzzt Communications, which continues to the present. Henry lives in Brooklyn, NY and his current studio is in Red Hook, Brooklyn. His work has most recently been seen at The Red Horse Cafe (Brooklyn, 2010), Sweet Lorraine Gallery (Brooklyn, 2009), RHV Fine Art (Brooklyn, 2009), The Micro Museum (Brooklyn, 2006), The Rider Project at the DUMBO Arts Festival (Brooklyn, 2006) and Gallery RFD (Georgia, US, 2007) and in numerous private collections.
